Get IPTV UK on a Firestick

Amazon's own store does not list IPTV players, so the stick has to be told once that apps from outside it are allowed. That is the only unusual step and it takes a minute.

Setup help costs nothing. Message us on WhatsApp and we walk through these steps together.

Install Downloader

  1. 1.On the Fire TV home screen, move to Find and open Search.
  2. 2.Type Downloader and select it from the suggestions.
  3. 3.Choose the orange Downloader tile and press Get.

Let Downloader install apps

Where the switch lives depends on the age of the stick.

  1. 1.Recent sticks: Settings, My Fire TV, About. Highlight the Fire TV Stick line and press select seven times. Go back one screen, open Developer Options, and turn on Install unknown apps for Downloader.
  2. 2.Older sticks: Settings, My Fire TV, Developer Options, and turn Apps from Unknown Sources on.
One thing to know. Developer Options disappeared from the menu in a software update. The seven presses on the About screen bring it back.

Add a player and sign in

In Downloader, type the app address from your WhatsApp message and install what it fetches. Any of these three is a good pick:

  • TiviMate

    Paid

The best guide and recording on a TV. One licence covers five devices.

  • IBO Player Pro

    Paid

Free for a week, then one payment. A year of it is included with the 12-month plan.

  • IPTV Smarters

    Free

Free, simple, and plenty for most living rooms.

Open the player, choose the Xtream Codes login, and enter the username, password and server address from the message. The channel list and the guide fill in by themselves.

Rather not sideload? An Android box or Chromecast gets the same players from the Play Store, and a Samsung or LG TV needs no stick at all. Whichever you use, look at the full channel list first.
